Bijli Mahadev is one of the religious place near Kullu that is one of the exciting spots for the tourist to visit. It is a temple with an exciting story that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated on top of the hill station that offering you an exciting scenario of natures and lush greenery. There is also a village just down the temple having same name Bijli Mahadev. The local people are taking care of this temple together. The part of the hill where this beautiful temple is situated is known as Mathan and it is surrounded with the Parbati, bhunter, Garsa and Kullu valleys. It is said that the lighting was strikes on the Shiva ling (Mahadev) and breaks it into many pieces. The local people will join them together for a special occasion with the hand made jam.
